I love all of the little celebratory days Lola takes part in at nursery now. As she’s that little bit older now she likes to get involved and gets excited to dress up or make things for the occasion, and of course I love to dress her up. Any excuse.
This week Thursday 1st March is WORLD BOOK DAY!
Lola’s been telling me for weeks that she was wearing her Belle Costume, but the other day we popped in Asda and a little Goldilocks dress caught her eye – and guess the pushover that couldn’t say no. It had a matching bag and headband though so I couldn’t resist anyway!
So here she is having a quick dress trial for Thursday to celebrate World Book Day at nursery with her Friends as Goldilocks!
Asda have had some great costumes in, from Princesses to Spiderman, Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland. Smiffys and Sainsburys have also had amazing collections this year, I’ve found that the costumes are getting a little crazier and are no longer basic fancy dress – which I LOVE. What’s better then seeing a toddler dressed up as the BFG or a Gangsta Granny (yes this costume is real – what the hell? I don’t know why I love it!)
To keep within the theme, I should probably mention something about books! Sorry just getting a little carried away with the whole fancy dress thing. I’ve created a little list of some of Lola’s favourite books at the moment.
We want to feature your children in their WBD costumes on this page! To be featured please use the tag #bbofchaos and tag us on Instagram, and share your favourite books with us too!.
I can’t wait to see all of your amazing costumes – who’s decided to hand make one this year? I would love to see.
