*Lola’s Birthday balloons are from The Little Occasion Shop
We recently celebrated my little lady turning 3 (I know, how the hell did that happen so fast)?! Her birthday was on a Thursday this year so we had a very relaxed day at home, she played all day and it was just so nice and calm for a change.
She now has enough Barbie’s to last her a lifetime, I don’t think there are any left in the shop that she doesn’t already have now. She also had a new dressing table as she had asked me for a long time ‘to have one like mummy’ which she loves sitting on and watching herself play with her toys.
The following Saturday we threw a little gathering at my mums house for her, all in a unicorn theme (surprisingly you can’t get many party accessories in Barbie)?! The unicorn party supplies were all from The Event Box Co, which didn’t arrive until the day so I was running round like a lunatic but the party package really did have it all and covered everything you could need to throw a toddler party, or any party for that matter!
- Unicorn Table cloth
- Unicorn plates
- Table Centrepiece
- Hanging decorations
- Cupcake toppers
- Pin the horn
- No.3 Balloon
- Unicorn Horns
- Goodie Bags
- Happy Birthday Banner
- Photo Props
So it was a really great box to cover everything you needed, some things do need making up though so it is worth making sure delivery is a few days before at least so you can start setting those up.
I also picked up a few bits from Party Pieces such as the popcorn tubs, trays and bowls for the food.
This was the first time I had ever took charge of the food, I was a little nervous as cooking isn’t my best skill to say the least, but my mum helped out loads and got the frozen bits cooking for me on the morning. It all went so fast too I didn’t even get a look in myself! My fruit rainbow was an idea I stole from Pinterest, absolutely loved making those.
Party food we chose:
- Fruit rainbow
- Fairy Cakes
- Oreo Cakes
- Sausage rolls
- Mini Sausages
- Water Melon
- Mini Pizza
- Cheese Straws
- Ice cream
We managed to get a unicorn bouncy castle which was good as it went with the theme well, as we also had the gazebo out on the decking with soft mats down for the little ones that needed to get out of the sun for a while.
This all happened whilst the England game was on too! As you gathered most of us mums and kids were in the garden and all the blokes inside watching the match in my mums living room.
I also got all of kids a little balloon each, I saw these on Pretty Little Party Shop and I thought they were super cute and different to what I had seen before at other parties. I got unicorns, ice creams and monkey balloons for them to choose from, along with their goodie bags which I packed with sweets, bubbles, bracelets for the girls and dinosaurs for the boys.
Lola absolutely loved her day, it was scorching hot, but I got super stressed and definitely wont be doing it again next year, sorry Lola haha.
I even got a bit of Unicorn glitter myself!
Happy Reading x
